Competition structure

This is a single-stage, invited competition, run by RIBA South East on behalf of Lordland, with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

Competitors are asked for concept/sketch design solutions for a major site in the centre of Tunbridge Wells.

An honorarium of £3,000 will be paid to each entrant. The winner’s honorarium will represent an advance on their professional fees. It is hoped that the winner of the competition will be appointed to work closely with the promoters to further develop the project. In the event that no one scheme meets the aspirations set out in this brief, the client reserves the right not to proceed beyond the competition phase.
