How can I use it in the classroom?
These pages have been set up to allow you to click through various categories to find pictures of and information about real museum objects.
You can use this resource in a number of ways:
project images onto a whiteboard and use as a focus for classroom discussion
import pictures into your own Word document or PowerPoint presentation
use our Guessing Game or Spotlight Game as a starter for work on historic objects
use the images for follow-up work after taking part in one of our Playtime Past sessions
print off large scale pictures for project work and classroom displays
find out more about how objects were made and used in the past
use the images as a stimulus for art or literacy work
Conditions of use
You can use any of the images from Learning Links for educational purposes, although you must leave the images intact, including the copyright notice. To use the images simply click the right mouse button while the pointer is over the image. This will bring up a simple menu. From this menu you can select 'Print' to print the image. If you wish to use the image in another project simply click the 'Copy' button. You can then paste the image into any other computer program.
This resource has been created specifically for schools to use for educational purposes. Permission is given for pupils and teachers to print out and export the images providing the following:
the copyright notice at the right-hand side of the image is retained at all times
the images are used for clear educational purposes
the images are not used on any items/newsletters etc which are sold or distributed for financial gain, including for fundraising purposes
