Rigg Doll's house - about 1840

About the Rigg Doll’s house

The house has four rooms - a kitchen, bedroom, parlour and dining room.

There is also a hallway and staircase, and a small under-stairs toilet.

The balconies on the upstairs windows were added after the house was made – the uprights being made from miniature skittles cut in half.

The chimneys were also added later.

This doll’s house is known as the Rigg house after the local family who owned it.
